EXTRA buses have been introduced on the DAC Coach service between Callington and Tavistock.

A number of improvements have been made on the 79, 79A and X79 bus route.

There will be extra buses on Mondays to Saturdays between Calstock and Tavistock, including a bus every 30 minutes from Gunnislake to Tavistock and several extra buses to and from Calstock.

A new summer Sunday service has started between Tavistock and Callington with train connections at Gunnislake to Cotehele and Kit Hill.

Two buses on Sundays will continue to Liskeard via Pensilva and St Cleer, with train connections at Liskeard Station.

Service 79A will now serve Cotehele Quay and with an extra journey on Mondays to Saturdays, buses are conveniently timed for both residents and visitors.

Nick Smith from DAC Coaches said: 'The 79A and the Sunday service are funded by Cornwall Council and the extra buses from Calstock and Gunnislake are a commercial decision by the company.

'We will also issue and accept Sunday Dartmoor Rover tickets which allows unlimited travel on a Sunday on most buses and branch line trains in Devon and parts of South East Cornwall.'
