POPULAR entertainer Matthew Holbrook returns to West Devon next week, to Entertain Us as Robbie Williams.
It's all part of a special Christmas Party Night at Jethro's Club, Lewdown, in aid of the Forget Me Not Charity, a registered charity offering comfort following pregnancy loss.
One in four people are affected by pregnancy loss, but it remains a form of bereavement often 'brushed under the carpet' and left unacknowledged by society and often friends and family of the bereaved parents.
Jenny Moore, of St Austell, founded the charity following the loss of their daughter Lucy, 20 weeks into her pregnancy in 2003, and has worked since 2005 on a full time, voluntary basis to raise awareness of pregnancy loss.
The charity website includes a special memorial Garden and Dedication Book Room.
Forget Me Not has become a national charity and Jenny is keen to raise awareness 'across the border'.
Jenny said: 'I have held this event at the Hall for Cornwall twice and it was very well received.
'Matt is a professional performer and certainly knows how to work a crowd.
'I thought what better way to increase awareness of Forget Me Not than to repeat this event in Devon.
'With Christmas fast approaching, and Robbie Williams very much in the public eye, it seemed an ideal choice for a work's party.
'I would like to appeal to people to choose this event for their Christmas celebration, I am sure they would not regret it!
The event takes place on Friday, December 3 7.30pm until midnight.
Tickets are £25 and include a sit-down two course Christmas meal, dance floor and bar until midnight.
To book please contact Jenny on 01726 820115 or email via the web site http://www.forgetmenotcharity.org">www.forgetmenotcharity.org where you can also read more about the charity.
