ELLA Percival and Aidan Bostock from Okehampton have been selected by British Judo for the 2012 England squads.

Thirteen year-old Ella a pre-cadet (under 15) has been selected for the first time following her impressive medal winning performances at recent major national competitions.

Aidan, 16, now in the junior squad (U20s) has been reselected every year since joining like Ella as a pre-cadet in 2008; this year Aidan has competed in Holland, Germany and Belgium and has represented England twice as a cadet (U17).

Both are trained by British Judo performance coach of the year Roger Downs, a sixth Dan, at Tamar Judo Centre, Saltash, which he runs with his wife Barbara.
