LAST Thursday saw a record turnout for the Okehampton Cycling Club summer time trial series on a ten-mile course tracing the old A30 from Bridestowe to Lewdown and back.
On a dry evening a field of 18 cyclists from Okehampton and Tavistock turned up to put their cycling fitness to the test.
Numbers were boosted as this event was part of the Okehampton Sports and Fitness Festival which offered an opportunity for anyone interested to have a go at a time trial.
Andy Retter was fastest on the night, clocking a time of 26.46, closely followed by Andy Bowyer on 26.55, which for him was a personal best time.
Full results: A Retter 26.46; A Bowyer 26.55; M Cory 27.59; T Bridgman 28.12; A Stokes 28.24; G Sprague 29.01; Jacky Rice 29.15; M Deacon 29.52; T Gynn 30.01; C Mckenzie 30.04; M Legg 30.08; C Molyneux 31.26; M Chave 31.27; S Perrett 32.19; N Williams 33.21; Emma Sutton 33.27; Sharon Bridgman 36.40; Jo Campbell 40.35.
