TAVISTOCK College welcomed the Christmas pony into school at the end of term, delighting staff and students alike.
Walking along the corridors produced a ripple effect in the classrooms on either side — ‘is that a horse? In school?’
In fact the pony goes into the college most weeks as part of the Horse and Pony Care course for Year 8 students, which started six years ago and has proved extremely popular.
College principal Sarah Jones has embraced the tradition of the Christmas pony with enthusiasm. As well as the reception area, the pony also visited history lasses, science and modern languages, really bringing the spirit of Christmas to life across the school.
