STOKE Climsland Primary School won seven individual prizes and was crowned overall champion in Callington Lions’ Honey Fair 2016 schools painting competition.

More than 750 children from all different years in all the local schools submitted paintings to the competition. The theme of the competition this year was the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations.

The winning pupils from Stoke Climsland Primary were Tanner, Zak, Maisie, Benson, Taylor, Rowan and Amy (pictured).

Ken Aspinall of Callington Lions said: ‘The standard this year was very high, making for difficult choices. Stoke Climsland last won in 1995 so it is good to see their name back again on the trophy.’

The school received a £60 winner’s prize from Callington Lions.
