CHILDREN from Mary Tavy and Brentor School have paid their respects to those lost at war with a special project.

The school’s three classes made special wreaths, using paper cut outs of their hands to create unique looking poppies.

Pupils then took them up to the Mary Tavy war memorial and held a short service with poems, singing and a moment’s silence.
