THE amazing voice of Kathryn Roberts will be heard at Brentor Village Hall on Saturday 2 March 2 at 8pm, when she performs with guitarist Sean Lakeman in an evening devoted to modern folk music.
With folk-rock crossover band Equation, Kathryn and Sean have toured the world playing to packed houses from Los Angeles to Lisbon and it is long overdue that Kathryn returns to her roots as a folk singer of the highest calibre.
Not since her renowned award winning partnership with Kate Rusby has she focussed on the folk scene that nurtured her musical career.
Now with fellow Equation member Sean Lakeman she is returning to the inspiring rapport that exists between performer and audience in small, local venues.
With an eclectic repertoire of traditional songs alongside favourites from the likes of Randy Newman and Suzanne Vega, Kathryn and Sean wear their roots and influences proudly on their sleeves.
