WALKS of Witness will be held in the Tavistock area this Good Friday.
Tavistock Area Christians Together ? TACT ? have organised a walk which will be leaving from Tavistock?s Bedford Square at 10.15am. The route is along Dolvin Road, Vigo Bridge, Brook Street, to Russell Street and back along Plymouth Road. There will then be a short ecumenical service in the square.
In Bere Alston, a walk organised by the Church of England and United Church, will start at Holy Trinity Church at 9.30am. It will follow a route around the village, when readings and hymns will be read and sung. The walk will end at the United Church in Fore Street.
l There will be a Procession of Witness in Callington on Good Friday, starting at St Mary?s Close at 12.30pm, one of the joint services being held in Callington over Easter. Others are on April 19 when there will be an Easter Outreach at St Mary?s Close at 10am, and on Easter Sunday, when there will be a sunrise service at Saltash Road Car Park at 7am.
