OKEHAMPTON Cycle Club members took part in last Sunday?s 25-mile time trial hosted by Mid-Devon Cycle Club on the A38 course starting from Buckfastleigh to Chudleigh Bridge and back.
It was an early start at 7am to avoid traffic. A large field of 42 cyclists took part in the event.
With ideal weather conditions making for fast times club members met with success by taking two prizes and breaking personal bests.
Steve Sage finished third after clocking 56.16 with an average speed of over 26mph. Jacky Rice picked up the prize for being the fastest lady and in doing so broke her personal best time with 1.5.22. Mike Rice also achieved a new personal best time with 1.4.59.
