THE shops may be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day ? but anyone in need of emergency medicines in Tavistock during these days can go to the duty chemist in the town. On Christmas Day the pharmacy at Safeway will be open between 11am and noon. Lakes Pharmacy in West Street will be open on Boxing Day between noon and 1pm. Boots in Duke Street will be open between 11am and 3pm on Bank Holiday Monday and between 10am and 5pm on Bank Holiday Tuesday. Boots will also be open between midday and 5pm on New Year?s Day.
