There is disruption on the Dartmoor Line today (Wednesday, August 19) as one of the trains needs repair.
Network Rail said that the service has been cut by half on the line between Exeter Central and Okehampton, with disruption expected until the end of the day.
“One of the trains that operates the Exeter St David’s to Okehampton service has developed a fault that needs mechanical attention,” said a spokesperson. “Great Western Railway do have another train that is operating the service, which means they can only operate half of the service for the rest of the day.”
Customers whose train is cancelled may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, their original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
Customers can also use their train tickets at no extra cost on the Stagecoach bus routes 5A Exeter to Okehampton route as well as the route 5B to Barnstaple and the 5C to Lapford.
