A DESIGN company from Sticklepath is celebrating after one of its projects won a prestigious national award. Imagemakers Design and Consulting, which is based in Sticklepath and Edinburgh, specialise in ?providing bespoke interpretation solutions? for a client base that spans the UK. After carrying out work at Bath Postal Museum, the company has received a commendation in the Interpret Britain and Ireland awards. The awards recognise the best examples of interpretation at heritage sites throughout the country. A spokesman for Imagemakers Design and Consulting said: ?The honour comes in the wake of a complete revitalisation of Bath Postal Museum, which now uses innovative interactive and audio-visual displays alongside period furniture and postal equipment to tell the story of 4,000 years of communications.? The commendation is only one of seven handed out nationally by the organisers of the scheme, the Association of Heritage Interpretation (AHI). The AHI judges said: ?We recommended the commendation for the attractive use of media, layering of interpretation and lots of interactivity with specific opportunities for families and children.? The revamp of the museum coincided with a move to a new site following a successful funding application to the Heritage Lottery Fund.
