TAVISTOCK Inner Wheel Club welcomed guest speaker Geri Parlby to its monthly meeting on May 21.

Geri, who is a member of Tavistock Rotary Club, gave members a talk on dementia.

Her talk was based on Rotarians Easing Problems Of Dementia (REPOD), and members were surprised to learn that dementia is not just an older persons' problem.

Tavistock already has a 'Memory Café' where advice can be sought by suffers of dementia and their carers.

Inner Wheel president Sue Lake presented a cheque to Geri for £100. The club also donated £250 to the Primrose Appeal.
