I’M delighted to hear that the current Sunday service to Okehampton is doing so well.

I’m originally from South Devon, but I now live in Basingstoke, Hampshire. I work for South West Trains at Basingstoke Station. I do intend to get down to use the service before it finishes in the autumn.

Hopefully there will soon be a regular and permanent passenger train running between Exeter and Okehampton. Then in the not too distant future the track will hopefully be re-laid between Okehampton, Tavistock and Bere Alston, giving Devon a much needed second through route, instead of having to rely on the Dawlish seawall all the time.
