Clyst have one of the best defensive records in the league and maintained this by restricting Okehampton to having to shoot from a distance throughout. Okehampton?s best chance fell to Adam Mortimore with Mathew King providing the cross. Mortimore could only watch his header effort bounce back off the post. Clyst took the lead in the 70th minute when they broke quickly, splitting the Okehampton defence and their striker scored unchallenged. For the remaining 20 minutes Clyst used every trick in the book to stop Okehampton and the busiest person on the pitch was the referee, brandishing red and yellow cards in his efforts to keep control of a physical game.
