THE Tavistock College team produced a superb performance against a Paignton side they lost 7-1 to last year.

After playing well in the first half, they were unfortunate to concede a late goal to go in at half time one goal down.

The first 15 minutes of the second half saw the boys play some of the best football their coach had seen from them and they deservedly equalised through Josh Towl before going ahead with Towl's second goal.

Two late strikes from Paignton saw them go down 3-2, but all the squad performed with great distinction.

They were good performances from the two full backs, Martin Montague and Lewis Brewerton; in midfield Nathan Panter and Ryan Alford worked tirelessly; and Pete Jarman and Josh Towl were a constant threat in attack. The team will be going into the Plymouth League after Christmas with confidence.
