THE body of a middle aged man was found in woods near Lifton last Friday. Officers from Tavistock attended and the death is not being treated as suspicious. No formal identification has yet taken place, but officers are investigating the discovery of the deceased in relation to the location of a car belonging to a vulnerable missing person for whom South Gloucestershire Police have appealed for help in finding. Stephen Gullick, aged 40, from Osprey Park, Thornbury, in Gloucestershire, was reported as missing a week earlier. His car, a black Volkswagen, was found earlier in the week on the A30 slip-road to Polson on the Devon/Cornwall border.
