AN exciting and innovative exhibition, dealing with the unique history of Dartmoor, opened its doors in Okehampton this weekend. 'Dartmoor Rocks' is the latest exhibition at the Museum of Dartmoor Life in Okehampton and has been put together in partnership with the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter. Running alongside the Dartmoor Rocks exhibition is the stunning 'Source and Inspiration,' a series of collaborative installations from artists who take their inspiration from Dartmoor. The exhibition opened on Saturday April 5. To celebrate the opening there was a free family fun day running at the museum. The next workshop will be on Wednesday, April 16 with another free family fun day where children will be able to make their own volcanoes then watch them erupt. The sessions will run from 11am to 1pm and 2pm until 4pm. Advanced booking is recommended and the museum can be contacted on 01837 52295. Further information about the exhibition, including pictures from the opening, will be featured in next week's Times.
