THERE will be a packed evening of traditional entertainment on Saturday, March 4 as Peter Tavy Village Hall hosts its ninth Dartmoor Evening.
This year’s line-up includes well-known singer and musician Bill Murray, who has been collecting Devon songs for more then 40 years. Local soprano Rosemary Turner will also be performing, accompanied by Barry Hodge. There will be great folk tunes from Steve Potter and Mick Bramich and gentle melodies from Tony Rose, alongside readings from Betty Gilbert and a playlet from the village bellringers.
During the interval, the audience will be served a pasty supper, which is included in the ticket price.
Funds raised by the evening will be split between Target Ovarian Cancer and village hall funds.
See the forthcoming events section on page 19 of this week’s Times.
