THE Okehampton Junior Golf Section Spring meeting managed to dodge the heavy rain but still provided some very testing conditions for all who took part. The outstanding performance of the day was from Darren Prouse who won the Farmers Trophy with a brilliant 42pts. This was a fitting reward for Darren who has been the Junior Team?s best league performer for the last two seasons but had just missed out in Individual Competitions on numerous occasions. Second Place went to Lawrence Waldron who scored the only other sub par round of the day with 39pts. In the Dartmoor Trophy a very tight contest was decided on count back with Jonny Weller edging out Dan Curtis after both had scored 30pts. The Castle Cup was won by Ashley Clarke, also with 30pts, which was an excellent performance in his first ever club competition. Bradley Hudson came second with 27pts, playing in his first club competition for two years.
