CATAPULTED teddies will be soaring over Peter Tavy on Bank Holiday Monday at the annual village fayre.

The Dartmoor Teddy Bears? Dangerous Sports Association will be holding their third annual meeting at the event and plan to use medieval catapults to send members sky high after previous years? church tower bungee jumping and commando-style death slides.

All dare-devil teddies are welcome to take part and will get a certificate of bravery.

A new feature for this year?s fayre is a village Scarecrow competition with classes for the scariest, scruffiest, best dressed and most like a famous person scarecrows.

The day starts at 2.30pm. All funds raised will go to Peter Tavy village hall, church and chapel.
