Bude U8s 20

BUDE travelled to Taw Meadow agreeing to play two games due to Okehampton/North Tawton having twice as many players.

Bude won the toss but a loose ball was scooped up by Daniel Foggerty who opened the scoring for Okehampton/North Tawton. Bude levelled immediately but a try apiece from Ollie Francis and Luke Shin gave them a good lead at half time.

Some good passing from Callum Mallett and Edward Brain allowed Angus Frances to score in the corner. Some great tackling from Richard Hann and Ben Sharp kept Okehampton/North Tawton in front for a well deserved win.

THE second game was more evenly matched. Jake Shin showed Bude his heels on more than one occasion but they attacked with two well worked tries keeping Okehampton/North Tawton on the back foot for a while.

Charlie Berry and Louis Taylor both had a great game in defence, so did Alex Fox having his first game for Okehampton/North Tawton, proving very useful.

Daniel Squires had a great run but Bude?s defence and the final whistle kept the match to a fair result reflecting on an even but exciting game.
