WEST Devon-based children's charity CHICKS received several thousands of pounds from a toe-tapping performance from the DAE School of Dance.

The dancers packed lots into a show, entitled 'Showstoppers', from tiny tots strutting their stuff, to the polished performances of senior pupils from the Plymouth-based dance school.

The costume department provided fabulous costumes for each dance, including everything from the roaring '20s to Harry Potter.

A total of £3,000 was raised for CHICKS (Country Holidays for Inner City Kids), which provides respite breaks for disadvantaged children.
