THE Spooners and West Dartmoor Pony Club recently held their D Day for children who have not taken their C test. These are levels of competence and horsemanship that they learn about in the Pony Club to help them look after and enjoy their ponies. The young competitors had a great day, doing a dressage test, show jumping, and finishing with a little cross country course. The Spooners children did their best to take top honours in all the classes but were thwarted by some fearsome intruders from neighbouring clubs. Class 5: 1, Marcus Hodinott on Pluto; 2, Will Scott on Topaz; 3, Molly Trethewey on Kilrush Happy Hurricane Harvey. Class 6: 1, Lucy Scott on Sid; 2, Marcus Hoddinott on Pluto; 3, Molly Trethewey on Kilrush Happy Hurricane Harvey. Class 7; Sadie Pearce on Rhona; 2, Izzy Norris on Merrylegs; 3, Emma Cole on Fern.
