A KEEN cyclist has put in serious pedal power cycling to the Royal Albert Hall in London to sing in a concert.

Eric Pinch, member of the Tamar Valley Male Voice Choir and also a Sustrans Cycle Network ranger, will be singing with a large part of the choir at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, November 2, along with another 600 choristers from choirs across Cornwall, but he has made his own way to the venue.

Before his mammoth journey, Eric said: 'While everyone else will be making their way there by motorised transport, I am cycling from Tavistock to the Royal Albert Hall via the National Cycle Networks, along the south coast to Brighton and then inland to the choirs hotel at Hounslow.'

Eric set off on his bike last Friday (October 25) and was due to arrive at the hotel today (Thursday).

The sellout concert on Saturday is to raise funds for the RNLI, Cornwall Hospice Care and Radio Cornwall charities.

Eric is being sponsored by the participating choirs for his bike ride.
