DIMSON Day Nursery at Gunnislake is holding its annual sheep shearing morning this Tuesday (May 9) from 10am to noon. Children and adults will be able to watch Tim French shear the nursery?s sheep, see the fleece being spun into wool and have a go at spinning. There will also be a chance to join in with other activities and meet the nursery animals, including Bam Bam ? the bottle-fed orphan lamb and his brothers and sisters ? pot bellied pigs, pygmy goats and ponies. The event is open to primary schools, nurseries, pre-school playgroups, childminders and the general public. Drinks and biscuits will be available or people can bring a picnic.
