SIMON and Grania Phillips had a successful show, winning two cups for their Devon beef cattle. The pair won the Pynda Perpetual Challenge Cup for Best Devon junior male or female with heifer Colleton Willow and a Challenge Cup for the best group of three Devon cattle.

Grania said: 'We are very happy with how we have done this morning, winning two cups is a fantastic achievement.'

The couple have been rearing red ruby Devon beef cattle on their farm in Colleton near Chulmleigh for 15 years. The cattle are reared naturally on Devon grass, and take the utmost care of their animals, ensuring a stress-free life that is reflected in the flavour of their meat.
