THE 1st Tavistock Kestrel Cubs took to the water recently for a sponsored swim. The event was to raise money towards a trip for the youngsters to Brownsea Island in Dorset in October — where the scouting movement was first started. The swim raised £400 towards the fundraising target. Other events have also been planned to raise funds towards the trip.
