A LEWDOWN stable owner and her two Jack Russells have proved that every dog has its day, after starring at the 2013 Crufts Factor competition.
Trainer Rachel Grylls' dancing dogs Jacob and Jessica were just two of more than 25,000 dogs at Birmingham's NEC for Crufts, presented by the Kennel Club.
The show celebrates its 140th birthday this year.
Rachel, Jacob and Jessica stood out from the crowd in the final, entertaining the judging panel that included former Olympic swimmer Mark Foster with a lively routine that saw the canine chums driving cars, skateboarding and dancing.
The appearance at Crufts was not the first major appearance for Jacob and Jessica. They appeared on the TV talent show That Dog Can Dance on Boxing Day, and since then have worked to perfect their routine.
After strutting their stuff on the world-famous green carpet, 34-year-old Rachel was left beaming with pride at their performance.
'It's just a bit of fun, we don't train regularly, just here and there,' said Rachel.
'I own horses and one day Jessica jumped up onto the back of one of them and started riding around.
'It gave me an idea and ever since then I've been teaching Jessica and Jacob little tricks every now and then.
'It was absolutely terrifying stepping into the main ring.
'I have been to Crufts before but I have never been able to compete before.
'It's fantastic to be here. The show is massive all around the world.
'The pair of them are great little dogs. They pick up the tricks really quickly and are so much fun to be around.'
