THE Two Bridges to Postbridge road was blocked for two hours last Saturday following a collision between two cars at Cherrybrook bridge.
The accident, involving a family in a Land Rover and a couple driving a Peugeot, occurred in dense fog at around 12.30pm. Fire appliances from Yelverton and Princetown and two ambulances attended the scene.
The woman driver of the Land Rover, who lives in Tavistock, expressed her thanks to the emergency services and passers-by who helped her and her three children passengers following the accident.
On Sunday afternoon, an accident occurred on the golf links road junction on the A386 involving a car and a motorcycle. The road was closed for around three hours for traffic investigation.
Sgt Ian Woods, of Tavistock Police, said the motorcyclist was taken to Derriford Hospital but his injuries were not as serious as first feared.
Paramedics arriving at the scene originally feared the man had sustained serious back injuries. After a full examination, he was released from the accident and emergency ward with only minor cuts and bruises.
And in a third incident, rescue services were called to a car which had overturned on the A386 on Tuesday mid-morning.
The accident happened near Lake, just below Willsworthy Camp, approximately five miles from Tavistock.
Only one vehicle was involved and the woman driver was released unhurt before the fire crew arrived. The road was closed while the vehicle was recovered.
