FAIRPLACE Church in Okehampton staged a Cornish evening of songs, slides and a supper this week to raise money for their organ fund. More than 80 people enjoyed pasties, saffron cake and fairings, and the event raised a total of £300. The church's next event will be 'Words and Music for Holy Week' on April 4 at 7.30pm — hot cross buns and coffee will be served afterwards.
