A JAZZ explosion is predicted in Tavistock next week, courtesy of the Devon Youth Jazz Orchestra.

The concert, conducted by Brian Moore, will take place in Tavistock College's main hall on Saturday, February 27.

A workshop from 3pm to 4pm for children aged seven upwards from any schools in the Tavistock area will be in the afternoon prior to the concert — please bring a musical instrument. 

Parents may drop their child off and leave them for the hour if they wish — no jazz experience is necessary and beginners are very welcome.

The Jazz Explosion concert takes place at 7pm in which workshop attendees will have the chance to play with the jazz orchestra.

The workshop and concert are free — donations are welcome on the door.
