TELEVISION presenter Angela Rippon will make a guest appearance at the Tavistock Stannary Brass Band?s Christmas concert this year.
As the band?s patron, she will host the event in St Eustachius Church on Saturday, December 13. This year?s guest choir will be the Rame Peninsula Male Voice Choir.
The band has recently recorded a new CD, which will be released in time for Christmas.
The disc, which features a mixture including marches and solo performances, was recorded in Mary Tavy Hall, and proceeds from sales will go towards new instruments.
The band is currently trying to raise £6,000 to pay for three new tenor horns and a euphonium.
They meet every Wednesday at the West Devon council offices , Kilworthy Hill.
Training and beginners start at 6pm and the main band follow at 7.30pm.
