MID Devon Pony Club tetrathletes blew away the holiday cobwebs with some great performances at the Devon & Somerset PC?s New Year Triathlon. Rebecca Rowe made a welcome return to competition, joining her sister Charlie and Lucy Almond to compete in the Senior girls? class. The three girls did brilliantly, finishing in second place, with Charlie putting in an outstanding performance to beat her older rivals and win the class, with the best swim. Rebecca finished in fifth place. In the Junior Boys, Will Leech competing for the first time since breaking his arm did well to finish in fourth place, and Edward Almond almost swam six lengths in his first outing in this age group. In the Junior girls, Rosa Malseed swam a pb and had the third fastest run, just missing out on a rosette by 16 points. In the minis, Jessica Jefferies finished in eigth place and Henry Wells was in a mixed club team that came fifth.
