A MURDER most foul is to be committed at the Terrace Restaurant in Tavistock during the evening of Friday, February 8 — according to the Lions Club of Tavistock that is.

On this day the Tavonians Theatre Company is staging its very popular murder mystery 'Death on the Prom' in conjunction with the Lions Club in order to raise funds for the Tavistock Youth Café.

A meal will be served during the evening and between the courses, diners will be invited to ask questions of the characters that will be providing the mystery in attempt to find the guilty party and ensure that justice is done.

The evening starts at 7pm and tickets will cost £30 per person, which includes the three course dinner. As murder mystery evenings have become so popular over the last few years, advance booking with the Terrace Restaurant on 01822 610046 is essential.

The Lions Club is very grateful to Morris Bros (Tavistock) Ltd for agreeing to sponsor the evening and it is also pleased to be working with the Tavonians on this fundraising evening as the Youth Café provides a much needed and free facility for the teenagers of Tavistock.

It is based in Pixon Lane and provides a meeting place, snack and coffee bar for young people who can also use the advice and information services from professionals and youth workers at the centre.

It is currently housed in a double sized purpose built Portacabin and is kitted out with a range of equipment including a coffee bar serving fair trade tea and coffee.

It also offers low cost hot and cold snacks, art equipment, table football, wide screen TV, DVD/CD players, live music facilities, computers with internet access and a pool table.
