ON this centennial week through your columns may I draw your readers' attention to a West Devon 1914 Commemoration Concert ? Hartland Chamber Orchestra and Bradworthy Baroque Choir will commemorate the outbreak of the First World War in 1914 with a concert starting at 7.30pm tomorrow (Friday, August 8) at Bradford Village Hall, near Holsworthy, EX22 7AB. Under the direction of Malcolm Woodcock they will celebrate the music shared by those who lived through that eventful year with pieces by Vaughan Williams, Elgar, Butterworth, Parry and others.
