KELLY College in Tavistock is aiming to foster closer links with West Devon businesses with the appointment of its first industrial fellow.
David Russell will take on the role at the start of next term. His tasks will include arranging work experience for Kelly pupils and organising ?days in industry? for students and staff.
David, whose previous employment has included the army, industry and vocational education, has strong links with the area and considerable experience in arranging work placements.
Headmaster Mark Steed said: ?We are delighted to have someone of David?s experience and expertise forging links with the local business community.
?It is our hope that every pupil will spend a period of time in the work place during their fifth and sixth form years.?
