STUDENTS from Tavistock College have taken part in a day learning about ethical finances, business skills and how to manage money – key life skills in today's tough climate — thanks to the generosity of a West Devon holiday park.
The day, run by consultants from international company TPS Publishing, gave the year 7 students the opportunity to produce crafts using a dye cutting machine paid for by Woodovis Park.
The students learnt about and practised the key skills involved in setting up, running and accounting for a business.
They then finished the day by performing work-based role plays, which were judged and rewarded with cash prizes.
Principal Helen Salmon said: 'This opportunity was part of our able, gifted and talented programme and the students responded really well and thoroughly enjoyed this activity.'
The college would like to again thank Woodovis for their generosity in sponsoring this engaging and realistic learning opportunity.
