AT Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday an individual stableford was played. The weather was extremely cold and windy.
Results: division 1: J Gillard 38 points, last 6 h/cap 11; 2, S White 38 points last 9 h/cap 10; 3, L Carey 38 points h/cap 5.
Division 2: 1, K Wills 46 points h/cap 18 now reduced to h/cap 15; 2, A Cann 41 points last 9 h/cap 19; 3, T Steer 41 points h/cap 16.
Division 3: 1, R Ford 41 points h/cap 20; 2, J Weller 39 points h/cap 21; 3, C Ball 37 points last 6 h/cap 20.
Monday April 14 saw the veterans three ball team open, 63 teams took part.
Results: first overall, winners from Okehampton with 78 points, J Higdon, D Jenkins and P Reddaway.
Second from Okehampton with 75 points on last 9 H Butters, G Moyse and D Gibson.
First visitors? prize went to B West, C Ash and E Munday from Crediton with 72 points .
Second visitors with 71 points were A Boucher, C Pratt and G Browne from Came Down.
The junior team had their first East Devon League match held at East Devon GC. They won this with team points of 215.
There was also a junior open held within the same event and T Rattenbury came second with a creditable 46 points now playing off 24 handicap.
