THREE signs advertising the Royal Oak Inn's Cider Festival in Meavy last weekend have been stolen and the landlord is asking people for information on their whereabouts.

The signs went missing from the side of the road in Dousland.

Stephen Earp, the landlord at the Royal Oak Inn, said: 'The signs were specially created for the event by Tavy Signs of Tavistock and were put out on the grass bank on the side of the road on Friday but went missing some time on Saturday.

'The signs were only up for a day and will cost about £100 to replace so I hope we can get them back. If anyone has any information regarding the signs or who stole them, please call the Royal Oak Inn on 01822 852944.

Stephen thanked everyone who had made the cider festival and wild food barbecue such a great success, at which more than 600 burgers and over 800 pints of scrumpy cider were sold.
