TWO of the country's leading evangelical church leaders are coming to West Devon for a major Christian event in September.

Ken and Lois Gott will be in Tavistock to take part in a Prophetic Conference at King's Church on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28.

Also taking part in the event will be renowned worship leader Godfrey Birtill.

The main event will be on the Sunday when Ken and Lois will be the keynote speakers at the latest 'Father's House at the Kings' event organised by four churches from Plymouth, Tavistock and Okehampton.

On Saturday there will be a worship workshop run by Godfrey Birtill in the morning and a prophetic workshop with Ken and Lois in the afternoon.

Ken and Lois Gott are senior pastors of a large church in Newcastle and internationally acclaimed for their part in a major Christian renewal which took place in Sunderland in the 1990s.

They now speak at conferences all over the world as well as heading up the church in Newcastle and overseeing a house of prayer in Sunderland.

The event is supported and hosted by Tavistock Community Church, Inspiration Okehampton, Inspiration Plymstock, Cornerstone Plymouth, and Gilead Foundations.

Commenting on the forthcoming event, Pastor Mike Davies from Inspiration Okehampton said: 'This really will be a special event and we are confident that this will prove to be a big attraction to Christians in the area.

'Ken and Lois have never been afraid to follow revival winds — their hunger for revival has not diminished and is a major emphasis for the church.

'Their desire to see revival in the UK and Europe is fuelled by the many conferences they host for the nation.'

There will be a small charge for admission to the Saturday workshops and registration must be made prior to the event, but the Sunday morning event, which starts at 10.30am is free and all are welcome.
