CHILDREN from Princetown Primary School will be getting a sneak preview of holiday activities at National Trust properties over the summer when they visit Buckland Abbey tomorrow (Friday.) The pupils will be dressed in costume as will many of the staff and volunteers and ?Sir Francis Drake ? will be present. Activities they can have a go at include brass rubbing, archery, circus skills, Tudor musical instrument making, trails and ?hands-on? crafts and workshops. National Trust communications manager Shona Owen said this was the trust?s ?best ever? summer holiday programme. She said: ?Many of the activities relate to the history of our houses, bringing them to life in a way that?s both fun and fascinating. There are also trails, themed walks and events such as river-dipping at our countryside and coastal properties.?
