A CHARITY that rescues and cares for moorland ponies is selling bales of good quality haylage.

The South West Equine Protection is a small Devon-based charity that has recently been fortunate enough to purchase four fields.

Before the ponies could be put on the fields to graze, the grass had to be cut, creating small, wrapped bales of haylage.

The haylage is too good quality for the moorland ponies, with the potential of bringing on laminitis, so the charity would like to sell the haylage for £6 a bale to be collected only.

This would then give the charity extra funds to develop the fields further as purchasing them was just the beginning.
