HURDWICK Golf Club held its annual charity day on October 14 to remember their first secretary, Tim Reeder, who died of Motor Neurone Disease some years ago. The format was four ball better ball and a number of past club members kindly supported the event. The winners were Paul Mace and Pam Atkins with an outstanding 51 points followed by Tony Wood and Sally Arscott and Bill Philott and Annette Samphier, both with 45 points. The event raised £519 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Club secretary Ray Hurle thanked all those who contributed to making it a successful event.
