TICKETS go on sale today (Thursday) for a black tie charity ball that will be a delightful occasion for the village of South Zeal. The Roundabout Charity Ball, being held at South Zeal recreation ground on Friday, June 30, promises to be the social event of the summer. The bar will open at 7pm with carriages at 1am. Tickets cost £25 to include a three-course dinner, music and dancing to ?Feel Good Factor?, with proceeds going to the South Zeal Recreation Ground Playground Appeal. Tickets are available now from The Oxenham Arms, King?s Arms, The Stores, South Zeal; Donald?s and Angel in Okehampton and Sticklepath Stores. To reserve a table for ten people call Sarah on 01837 849100. Organiser Vickie Mills said there were a host of other events being held on the recreation ground during the rest of the weekend. She said there would be the South Zeal Beer Festival on Saturday (July 1) and Sunday (July 2), plus family fun at Zale Fayre on Saturday, and a local cricket match on Sunday.
