THE?beneficiaries from the Albaston Fete were presented with their cheques recently.

The Delaware Pre-School and After School Kids’ Club, Ducklings Pre-School and After?School Kids’ Club at Stoke Climsland and the Harrowbarrow and Metherell Pre-School Playgroup all received £350, as did Children’s Hospice?South West.

Callington Town Football Club, which always helps with the fete, was donated £500.

This year the team has been very successful in winning the league and the junior cup, a trophy not won by a Callington side since 1947.

Chair of the fete committee Peter May, treasurer Cathy Maunder and members Patsy Herring and Jan Rackshaw expressed thanks to everybody in the community who helped in any way with this year’s event.

They also thanked all those who attended the fete and the presentation.
