Kelly College U15 XV 19 Churston Grammar School 29 IN the opening play the opposition Maori centre stormed over to take the lead (5-0). Kelly quickly replied through some fine rucking for Andy Chesters to level the scores. Churston who fielded three county players scored again, quickly followed by another soon afterwards to take a 19-5 lead. Just before the interval Chesters scored from open play, to show great resolve from the team to make a come back to 19-12 with a Yeo conversion. Immediately after the break Churston scored which was the telling try of the match. Kelly played catch up rugby for the rest of the game, which shows they have pride in their performance as 19-29 turned out to be a competitive game of rugby. Bob Carr scored the last try of the match after some good forward play.
