AN auction of promises held in Sourton Village Hall on October 6 raised more than £1,300 for Bridestowe CP School.
The Friends of Bridestowe School enjoyed cheese and wine and were entertained superbly by the Bridestowe Barbershop Quartet.
Terry White was the auctioneer and thanks were given by Sue Eberly, chairperson of FOBS, to all who gave so generously.
A farewell gift and bouquet were presented to Cath Rimmer for her hard work and diligence as treasurer of FOBS for the past six years.
The FOBS' next fundraising event is the annual Bridestowe quiz hosted by Graham Crocker on Friday, November 17, at Sourton Village Hall.
