BERE Alston Carnival Committee has presented the cadets of Weir Quay Sailing Club with a cheque for £200.

The youngsters are shown with instructors and the support team on the slipway at Weir Quay, with their cheque, waiting to take part in the last training session of the season.

Earlier this year the cadets received a substantial sum from the Bere Alston Trekkers.

These donations make a major contribution to the money required to enable the club to provide training and to allow it to upgrade sailing dinghies and provide support boats.
